This page contains family lineages that are complete for several generations. Many of these linages trace back to old world countries and extend to present day generations. The lineages are listed by their prominent family surname. The text following the surname is as follows; earliest date, latest date and known migration route. The date in parenthesis is the date when the subject file was last updated.
These GEDCOM files contain only the surnames as indicated. Included in the GEDCOMs are the names of spouses. There are no parent names for the spouses unless a person is a direct descendant of another person with the same surname. The GEDCOM file is all inclusive for the surname listed. For example; the CARRICO.GED file contains all of my entries with the surname CARRICO whether they are related or not. There could be two or more (unrelated) families within the same file.
Only direct decendants and/or ancestors are listed in a file. Research notes and sources are NOT included in these files. If you need my individual research notes and sources e-mail me, tell me which person or persons about which you are interested, and I will send them to you (also, see note below) . Many families are intermixed and you may find the same person in more than one family lineage file. To properly use these files you will need a GEDCOM file viewer or a genealogy database program.
Should you find a surname in the Name List section that you are interested in, but you do not find it here, just e-mail me at and I will create a GEDCOM file for you and place it on this page. My plan is to place family lineages that have six to eight or more entries on this page. However, by special request I will place any family lineage that I have here.
Please, before downloading any of these GEDCOM files take a moment and look over the attached README and DISCLAIMER file. This file contains general information about contributions made by others to my effort. I have also included my Source Material Reference Guide -- a list of source references and their abbreviations for those researchers that request my research notes and sources. This is not my research notes only the cross reference guide.
