08 Mar 1996: John HAND was the second child born to John Patrick HAND
and Catherine GIBNEY. John could have been born in Floyd county, IN,
near New Albany. I have not been able to uncover any birth or baptismal 
records for John.

As noted below, John returned home for his sister's funeral but there
was no mention of his place of residence. It is known that several
family relatives lived in the states of Missouri and Kansas.

John ?. HAND was born about 1866 in unknown; died in unknown.

Individual note:
(1) John appears in the 1870 census with sister Margaret.  Only John 
appears in the 1880 census -- this is the last known trace of John.
(2) John appears again in Margaret's obituary in 1905.
